Review:

Tim: I have to give credit for the amazing impressions the cast gives of a wide variety of “epic” film roles. It is somewhat enjoyable to see absurd characterizations of movies we’ve come to know and love. Sadly, when it comes to being funny, this movie is an epic failure. This is where the praise ends and the criticism begins.

I just don’t understand how these spoof movies are enjoyable. There is absolute no plot, just a hastily thrown together hodgepodge from plot points of other movies. How can this be enjoyable? There are a few funny moments, but these movies tend to throw as much as possible at the audience, hoping they will find at least a few jokes funny. Very, very few are actually good. 98% of the movie is just stupid.

It depresses me that these films continue to make enough money to warrant similar movies in the future. This trend is getting old, and I sincerely hope it stops. Unless you are ten years old or obsessed with impressionists, this film cannot be funny to you. The “strength” of movie comes from borrowing from better movies, and practically copying scene for scene with some type of comedy twist. This doesn’t take a great deal of brains, and I pray no more of these movies get made.
