Review:

Tim: Dirty Harry's third adventure is a step above the first sequel. Clint Eastwood is back as Callahan, and a woman partner joins him in an attempt to track down a terrorist group. At first, this may seem a bit gimmicky, but it actually puts a new and interesting twist on the franchise. It helped breathe some new life into the series. Even still, it is quite noticeable that both sequels are a notch below the original.

Eastwood, however, is just as good as ever. His more traditional ways come up here when he has to deal with a femal partner, but is it possible that Harry Callahan might change his mind? (gasp!)

The terrorist group is not as exciting as the Scorpio killer, but they are better than the villains of the previous film. Harry's confrontations with them are filled with the usual gunfights and explosions, all of which are quite entertaining.

These are the types of sequels that don't necessarily require you to see the previous films first. While the prior movies are not prerequisites, having those under your belt will definitely increase your enjoyment in this film.

The Enforcer is important in the Dirty Harry franchsie because it marks an upswing in the series, even if it is only a small improvement. I highly recommend all the Dirty Harry movies, but this is definitely not one to miss.
