Review:

Tim: Dr. No is famous for being the film that launched the impressive James Bond franchise. While it is very different from the explosives-laden action pictures of today's Bond, it is still a great movie. It has terrific action sequences, and puts into motion all the elements that will make the Bond franchise one of the most successful in movie history.

Sean Connery sets himself as the James Bond here, and even over 40 years after the release of this movie, he still remains the undisputed best Bond.

Dr. No features so many memorable scenes- the final battle in the control room with the crazy plastic suits, Ursula Andress on the beach with the white bikini, and much more. This film is ingrained the popular culture and you definitely need to see it.

This movie is just an incredible action film that will keep you entertained throughout. The film is suspenseful, has intense action, and of course, Bond's trademark humor. This is a pretty amazing way to start a franchise.

On a side note, anyone familiar with the character of James Bond knows that he quite the ladies' man. I thought it would be an interesting experiment to document how many women Bond is with in each movie, to see if any changes occur throughout the decades to follow this movie. In Dr. No., Bond is with three different women. So, to start this experiment out, Women Count- 3.
