Summary: A happily married woman (Ashley Judd) is shocked when she wakes up on her yacht to discover it covered in blood and her husband (Bruce Greenwood) missing. She is equally as shocked when she is convicted of his murder and is sent to prison. During her years there, she discovers her husband is still alive, having faked his own death. With the double jeopardy clause, she can now kill her husband with no consequences. When she gets out, she begins tracking him down while her parole officer (Tommy Lee Jones) trails her, trying to stop her.

Review:

Tim: This is yet another of Ashley Judd's two thousand films that are all nearly identical to each other. At least she's not a cop on the trail of a killer in this one. Still, the plot is relatively similar.

The idea behind this movie isn't too bad: a woman who has done jail time for killing her husband and later finds out he is still alive. I love using the double jeopardy clause to set up the fact that she could now kill her husband and there's nothing the legals system could do about it.

Judd is decent in the role. She has played it enough times that you'd expect her to have it down by now. I really like Tommy Lee Jones in his role. He isn't spectacular, but he brings some respect and adds credibility to the cast.

One thing I hate about this movie is how so many women out there really like it. This is due to personal fantasies about killing the worst men from their past (I'm not saying they don't deserve to be killed), but it just doesn't sit right with me.

This is a decent thriller. It keeps you more or less in a state of suspense, even though the film is totally predictable. Judd fans probably won't want to miss it. If you are a woman and a Judd fan, well then God bless you, you should love this.
