Review:

Tim: I heard that this movie was excellent. I wasn't exactly sure, because I'm not the target demographic. However, I'm happy to report that this is an outstanding movie, one of the best I have seen in a long, long time. The movie is so funny, has an incredible cast, and actually tackles some fairly big issues.

One of the strongest aspects of the film is the cast. Meryl Streep is already more than a legend, and she proves that further here, by giving an absolutely dynamite performance. She is so cold and so evil, and you just can't help be impressed. I love how she delivers the line, "Tales of your incompetence do not interest me." Anne Hathaway is also excellent. She's the perfect everywoman here, and does a surprisingly good job of being our protagonist. Her struggle is our struggle. Hathaway has a certain charm that is magnetic.

Perhaps the most amazing part of this film is that it really is a morality tale- a story of a good person who has all of her values challenged. We see our protagonist tempted in every way possible, and watch, fascinated as she struggles against it.

The Devil Wears Prada also happens to be hilarious, completely entertaining, and overall, an excellent movie. Hollywood seems to be rolling out a series of good movies, but few that are great. This film is a major step in the right direction, You'll enjoy this movie, probably surprisingly so. I am a big fan.
