Review:

Tim: I was a big fan of the Dan Brown novel, so I went into this movie a bit worried. However, when I heard Tom Hanks was playing Robert Langdon, I started to feel more reassured. Luckily, I had nothing to worry about. Despite the critics, this is a very good movie. It follows the book very closely, has an all-star cast, and is remarkably exciting.

Hanks is fantastic as Langdon. I know he was criticized by many, but he plays the part extremely well. Audrey Tautou is very good as Sophie. She and Hanks have chemistry, but a very different kind. They don't seem romantically right for each other, but they still work extremely well together on screen. I also loved seeing Ian McKellen, who gets some fantastic scenes and makes the most of them. The cast is rounded out by Paul Bettany, Alfred Molina, and Jean Reno. That is impressive.

Ron Howard directs a quick-paced film that barely gives you time to catch your breath. I love how he did the scenes showing what Langdon is thinking. These scenes are just amazing to see.

The Da Vinci Code is a very good movie that bravely tells the story of two people searching for the Holy Grail. It is an exciting thriller, and a movie that I truly love.
