Review:

Tim: Eddie Murphy has occasionally been criticized for seemingly turning his back on the R-rated films which made his a star for children's fare. That may be partially accurate- I'd love to see him in a new, R rated, swearing, violent action film. However, despite his PG career turn, Daddy Day Care shows that he can still make very good movies.

This film succeeds so well because it has simply adorable kids and Murphy interacts with them brilliantly. This is the complete premise of the whole movie, but the joke does not wear out. This is a fun, humorous film that children of all ages and adults alike will all enjoy.

Jeff Garlin is actually hilarious in his role. I was pleasantly surprised by his performance. I really like Steve Zahn- he gives a good and likeable performance here. Rounding out the supporting cast is Anjelica Huston. All I can say about her is that it is nice to know she's still around and making movies. Good for her.

Especially enjoyable out of the kids are the child that plays Murphy's son and the Flash. The Flash is great and hilarious. Murphy's son, well he makes you want to have kids of your own... or maybe just one kid of your own.

Daddy Day Care is a surprisingly good film. I recommend it and believe you will enjoy it as much as I did.
