Review:

Tim: Congo has it all. This movie has intense action scenes laden with suspense, has a comedic touch, and is blessed with incredible acting. From heat-seeking missiles to hippo attacks, to rivers of lava, this movie is packed with action. The special effects will blow you away. This is a fun movie all around.

Michael Crichton has had many novels turned into films, and this one ranks up at the top. This movie is excellent. Not many movies have the complete feeling that this one gives you. You will come away from Congo with a feeling of satisfaction that is rare to find in the movies. It is difficult to find any fault with this movie whatsoever, although there are unbelievable aspects throughout.

This movie was ripped apart by critics, but I say- don't listen to a word they say. Congo may not be the most smartly written film of all time, and may not follow the novel exactly, but who cares? This movie isn't one that will make you think about life and ask you deep questions- this movie is packed with action and adventure to keep you entertained- and that is exactly what it does. I definitely recommend seeing this film- despite what the critics say, you will not be sorry.
