Review:

Tim: This is a crazy, odd movie. It certainly is very different, unconventional, and unique. The characters are vivid, eccentric, and certainly borderline insane (some of them).

The cast really works hard to bring these characters to life. They do an impressive job, even though they are not always completely believable. There is a thin line between being eccentric and interesting and unbelievable and silly. The actors and characters here often cross the line. Ralph Fiennes especially seems a little too over-the-top.

In the end, The Chumscrubber tries hard to be a social commentary on suburbia, using a convoluted plot to tell its story. While this is somewhat effective, the movie ultimately becomes too clever for its own good. What we are left with is a good effort at a great movie that falls short.
