Review:

Tim: The Disney-Pixar combo will go down as one of the greatest in Hollywood. It was responsible for some truly great films, and this is another superb entry. This movie is so clever and so entertaining. A great deal of thought was put into this. I love all the clever automobile references, from the town of Radiator Springs, to the little Volkswagon beetles flying around.

Pixar does such a good job of telling heartwarming stories with great characters. The voice cast is excellent. Owen Wilson is very good as Lightning McQueen. Paul Newman does good voice work, and Helen Hunt is surprisingly good. Disney also brought in some voice cameos from previous Pixar films, so we get to hear Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Billy Crystal, and John Goodman at the very end. The rest of the supporting cast is great, including Michael Keaton, George Carlin, Cheech Marin, and Tony Shalhoub. These guys all help bring the cast to life, but Pixar deserves so much credit for creating a movie about talking cars that actually works. The departure from anthropomorphic animals is a welcome one.

Cars continues the tradition of films like Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., and Finding Nemo, great movies that appeal to children and adults alike. You will thoroughly enjoy this clever movie with a heart, no matter what demographic you fall into. This film is entertaining, funny, and delivers a very good message. You can't go wrong with that, and you certainly won't go wrong by watching this movie.
