Review:

Tim: This film could have been better, but it feels like a movie we have seen dozens and dozens of times already. While this movie brings much more crude humor than most, the plot still feels all too familiar. Plus, the somewhat interesting concept begins to flame out near the end. By the film's conclusion, the plot almost completely unravels.

Damon Wayans and Adam Sandler do work surprisingly well together. The film is fueled by their performances. They play off each other very well, and you actually believe that there is some animosity between these two men. The movie works when it examines the complicated friendship and falling out between these unlikely friends. The best moments are when you believe there is hurt and disappointment existing between them. The film also works when they fight and display their hatred for each other. Sadly, any moment other than these two actors interacting represents a significant drop in quality and entertainment.

This movie could have been much better had the action and story been a bit better. While Wayans and Sandler work well together, the plot is somewhat uninteresting and a bit tired. This prevents us from ever really getting involved in the story.

Bulletproof is still a fairly enjoyable 90's action buddy movie. While there are similar, better movies out there (Nothing to Lose, this movie isn't terrible. While I wish it was better, I admit I was still mostly entertained throughout it.
