Review:

Tim: Mel Gibson's Academy Award winning movie is a near masterpiece, and a film that everyone needs to watch once every few years.

In beautiful detail, we watch the life of William Wallace, Scotland's greatest hero. In an age of tyranny, where might equalled right, Wallace stood up and fought for freedom. His story will leave an imprint on your soul.

Gibson is fantastic in front of and behind the camera. The only thing that tops his amazing and memorable turn as Wallace is his genius behind the camera. He has crafted a modern day classic.

The battle scenes are all superbly choreographed. Some of the most memorable moments of the film are when Wallace's genius on the battlefield is displayed against the English. This also happens to be one of the greatest war movies as well.

Braveheart is a film that really has it all- a hero struggling against nearly insurmountable odds, a heartbreaking love story (or two), and quite a few comedic moments. This cinematic juggernaut is bursting at the seams with action, drama, comedy, and romance. It is most certainly one of my all time favorite films.
