Summary: 22 individuals all converge on the Ambassador Hotel in 1968, the night Robert Kennedy was assassinated.

Review:

Tim: Director Emilio Estevez assembles perhaps the most extensively impressive cast of all time. Everyone is in this movie. Most surprising of all is that somehow, with almost 20 big names actors, it feels as if each gets adequate screen time. This is a testament to Estevez, and the quality of this movie.

I can't go into the entire cast, but I will try. Laurence Fishburne shines in his few scenes, which were among the film's best. Shia LeBeouf was quite humorous in his unexpected role. Lindsay Lohan and Elijah Wood actually have some good chemistry together. William H. Macy and Sharon Stone work well together, and account for some emotional scenes. Christian Slater balances an unlikeable character with some touching moments. Martin Sheen and Helen Hunt were decent, but weaker than most. Emilio Estevez and Demi Moore were both great, but for very different reasons. Nick Cannon gives a very strong performance, and Ashton Kutcher is really funny in an off-the-wall role. Joshua Jackson gives a reserved but good performance. Whew, that was short on depth, but I covered most of the cast!

The movie is very emotional and surprisingly good as we see a huge cast all come together on one fateful day, that culminated in the tragic assassination of RFK. The film's success comes from the fact that in just a few scenes each, we genuinely care about each of the characters, and are fascinated to watc them in the film's climax. Bobby is an exceptional film with a jaw-dropping cast and is one of the year's best films. This is a very well made movie.
