Summary: A low achieving man (Adam Sandler) decides he wants to take over his extraordinarily rich father's business, but to prove his worth, he must retake grades 1-12 and pass each one over again.

Review:

Tim: This is an absolutely ridiculous, stupid comedy that also happens to be the funniest movie you've seen in a while. The story is novel- a grown man goes back to school, grades 1-12. Sure, he's a couple of screws loose from being a complete retard, but the comedic possibilities are endless and the film utilizes many of them.

Adam Sandler is one of the most likeable guys alive, and is at his silly-song-singing, joke-cracking, self-deprecating best. Whether he's speaking in jibberish or chasing an imaginary penguin, we have so much fun watching him on screen. He has a good partner in Brigette Nielsen. At first glance they wouldn't seem right for each other at all, but Nielsen acts as stunning as possible and reels in her more tomboyish attributes (except for kicking the crap out of Sandler in one scene). She's never been more likeable. The cast also benefits from good supporting help, including Steve Buscemi in an almost-cameo performance.

There are so many memorable scenes and lines that you will hesitantly rank this near the top of your comedies that you are almost ashamed to love. However, it being a guilty pleasure does not take away from the fact that you will have fun watching this movie no matter how many times you've seen it.
