Review:

Tim: A lot of people claimed this was the greatest comic book movie of all time. This further proves that a lot of people are morons and don't know what they are talking about.

The first hour of the film is awful. A shining example of its problems is the scene where young Bruce Wayne's parents are killed. It made me yearn for the 1989 Batman film and Jack Nicholson's "You ever dance with the devil by the pale moonlight?" line. Now that is how that scene needed to be done.

The movie does get better once Wayne becomes Batman. This update has him flying, moving like a ninja, and striking fear into criminals. This is the best aspect of the film. Batman is all about fear, and this film really highlights that.

Christian Bale is the best Batman since Michael Keaton, although I still prefer the former in the batsuit. The rest of the cast is impressive, except for Katie Holmes, who was often terrible.

A lot of people disliked the "battank" but surprisingly, I found it to be pretty incredible. I like that Christopher Nolan was going for a more contemporary, innovative look to this film.

Batman Begins is overrated, but it is still a good movie. I love moving the series back to darker, more serious territory. I enjoyed the film, but was not completely impressed.
