Review:
Tim: This series has tackled the relative present (the 1950s), the future, and now, in the concluding chapter, Marty and the Doc travel back to the past in the late 1880s.
Back to the Future Part III is a fitting conclusion to the trilogy. It is interesting to watch our heroes in the Old West. This completely different element brings a whole new feel to the story.
Robert Zemeckis directs a well made film, bringing in elements from the first two films and pulling them all together here. The movie is pure fun and quite entertaining.
This film is equally as good as the first sequel but not quite as good as the original. It is important to note that this trilogy does not end on a lowpoint. The story is interesting as Marty must finally face his own fear of being thought a coward, and Doc finds the love of his life.
Back to the Future Part III ends the series exactly as it should end. Zemeckis stuck with his story through the end and made certain to make good sequels, not the money-making trash that we so often see today. As far as ending trilogies, this film ranks up there with the best.
