Review:

Tim: Armageddon is a very fun movie. I drooled over the trailers for this film. I still remember being the first in line at Tinseltown, and buying the very first ticket to the first showing of this film in Erie, Pennsylvania. This blockbuster had it all- incredible actors, amazing special effects, and a very exciting plot. Armageddom uses action, comedy, romance, and suspense and blends them together to form a compact movie. The team of Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay that created The Rock find themselves part of another winner here.

This movie is definitely worth your time seeing. The only problem I had with the whole movie is that in an effort to show the oil drillers are roughnecks and not professionals, those characters seem silly and hurt the movie more than they help it. The characters played by Bruce Wilis, Billy Bob Thornton, Live Tyler, and Ben Affleck are superb, however. The rest of the cast(except maybe for Will Patton) hurts the film rather than helps it, and it would have been better without them. They did add a comic touch to the film, but it did more harm than good. Another interesting aspect of this film is the ending. I never cry at movies, but at the end of this one, I'll admit- I had to force back tears. Armageddon is one thrill ride that has it all.
