Summary: The not-so-historically accurate tale of Frank and Jesse James. After returning from fighting in the civil war, Frank (Gabriel Macht) and Jesse (Colin Farrell) find their farm threated by an railroad tycoon (Harris Yulin). Now, in an effort to save the farms, they combine forces with their cousins (Scott Caan, Will McCormack,Gregory Smith) to form the James-Younger gang: and their sole purpose is to rob the railroad of its money. As the gang rises to fame and fortune, they begin to reconsider their actions, and the effects they will have on them living normal lives.

Review:

Tim: I love this movie. I expected much of it, and am excited to say that I was pleasantly surprised. This is one of those suprise-hit movies. Everyone expects the major blockbusters to have it all, but few look to a film like this to be well rounded and entertaining. I am excited to say this film was that, and much more. The film was incredibly entertaining, featuring excellent acting, humor, and amazing action scenes. If you like Westerns, this film is a must: but any action or adventure lovers will adore it as well. The film is 98 minutes of gunslinging, joke cracking fun. Throughout the film, I found myself amazed, saying, "Damn, this is a really good movie!"
Colin Farrell is excellent, and in my opinion, is one of the best up and coming actors. Timothy Dalton does excellent work as the bad guy, bringing a touch of admiration for the man he is hired to hunt. Gabriel Macht is just superb. This is the first film I have seen him in, and was just blown away. He was my favorite character in the movie, playing a strong, intelligent man, but also one with a good sense of humor. I recommend paying close attention to his acting: he steals the movie. I wholeheartedly recommend seeing this film, as it has something for everyone, and will be an entertaining film anyone will appreciate.
