Review:

Tim: This film represents a regular occurence in Hollywood- a film that has a great concept, but fails to fully implement that concept on screen. The film's title is also incredibly misleading. There is not much of an "adventure" in the film, and it is by no means amazing. This movie has one of the worst titles in recent memory.

The film itself is pretty boring. Cary Grant makes some wager and completely alters his life, and it is all supposed to be so important, but it comes across silly and meaningless. The scene involving the forgery plot and its eventual resolution is the lowpoint of the film. Grant jumps from situation to situation, and each one feel so disconnected and makes the film more and more and more ridiculous.

Grant is not very good in the film. I've always been a little hard on him as an actor, but he really doesn't do much to help this film at all. To be fair, no actor could do very much with the role. The suupporting cast is weak and no one gives a performance even close to being memorable.

The film is wholly underwhelming. While there are a few entertaining moments, the movie as a whole is rather boring. While Grant is not close to being my favorite actor, he has made much better films than this, and you would help yourself by spending your valuable time on those, rather than this snorer. Amazing Adventure is completely a set up for a gigantic letdown. There's nothing amazing about this non-adventure, so unless you want to take a nap, skip this film.
